January will see the first session of our newly formatted Intermediate Class. The class is now a 6 week structured class with instructors Lee James and Melinda Grosch. This change has been designed with the student in mind to provide a logical next step after the Beginning and Beginning Review classes. Intermediate will provide further practice on the basic obedience exercises solidifying the training received in the foundation (Beginning) classes. Handlers will be working towards increased reliability on existing exercises along with learning some new commands (e.g. finish right, finish left). This class will prepare the student and dog for advanced classes including the Novice Obedience drop-in class, which will maintain obedience skills, as well classes focusing on competition such as Rally, Agility and traditional obedience competition. This new format allows the instructors to present the material with a more systematic approach ensuring that all of the information is covered thoroughly in a 6 week session.
